Scramble
Play together. Choose the best position.
Online guide
All teammates tee off, choose a preferred ball position and play again from there. Repeat until the ball is holed.
How to play
- 1Everyone tees off.
- 2Select the ball position the team wants to use.
- 3Mark the spot and play according to the competition's placement terms.
- 4After each stroke choose the preferred position until holed; record the team score.
Four players drive. The second ball is on a good fairway spot, so the team plays their next strokes from there.

Scramble is governed by the specific event terms rather than a single named Rules-of-Golf format. Agree ball placement, number of tee shots, team size, order and allowances.
