Teams follow the scramble principle, often with added competition requirements such as a minimum number of selected drives per player.
How to play
- 1All team members tee off.
- 2Select a position and play your next shots from it.
- 3Track the special conditions in the event's Terms of Competition.
- 4Continue to the hole and record the team result.
A competition might require three selected drives from every player over 18 holes. This is an example, not a universal rule.

There is no universally uniform 'Texas' special-rule package. Always check the competition's own requirements and local rules.
